Four-star tight end Carson Sneed is locked in with the Tar Heels.
The blue-chip prospect from Nashville committed to Tennessee over a year ago, but he backed off his pledge over the summer and flipped to the Tar Heels. Since UNC football has had its struggles this season, there have been questions about all the top recruits in the program, including Sneed. But he has once again used social media to try to put those questions to rest.

Where does UNC football recruiting stand right now?
Bill Belichick and UNC football need all the good news it can get, especially on the recruiting front, and Sneed provided a nice boost with his pledge to stay. However, there's been some additional movement, both good and bad, in the Tar Heels class.
Three-star cornerback Marcellous Ryan has backed away from his pledge to the Tar Heels. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound defensive back from California was part of a big surge of commitments for UNC over the summer.
I want to thank the University of North Carolina, Coach Mondo, and the entire UNC coaching staff for believing in me and giving me an opportunity to be a part of their program. But when one door closes, another opens and that opening allowed three-star wide receiver Nyqir Helton to commit to the Tar Heels, flipping from Boston College. Helton took a visit to Chapel Hill last week for the Virginia game and received an official offer during that visit.
Once Helton received an offer, the wheels were in motion. He de-committed from Boston College on Wednesday and made the flip to UNC.
