UNC Football: Kamari Morales commits to ACC school
As the transfer portal heats up, former UNC football tight end Kamari Morales committed to Boston College with one season of eligibility remaining.
After the UNC football program lost its regular season finale to NC State, tight end Kamari Morales became one of the first Tar Heels to enter his name in the transfer portal.
Coming off a career year in 2022 in which he had 29 catches for 358 yards and four touchdowns, Morales caught just 11 passes for 158 and no touchdowns this past season. He was often overshadowed by the tight-end duo of John Copenhaver and Bryson Nesbit, as both were utilized more in the passing game.
After he announced he was transferring, Morales had to wait for the portal to officially open. Just three days after it did, the former Tar Heel announced that he will play for the Boston College Eagles for his final year of college football.
Morales will look to find a bigger role as a member of the Eagles, as the 2024 season will provide him with an opportunity to face his former team as well.
The UNC football program will travel to Boston College during the 2024 season, as the matchup of ACC foes is scheduled to take place in Week Five. Look for Morales to have a big game to prove to his former team that he could’ve been more than just a run-blocking tight end for their pass-friendly offense.
