The UNC Basketball program will begin Atlantic Coast Conference play against Florida State, and a former legendary ACC Coach will be on the broadcast.

As the UNC Basketball team prepares to host the Florida State Seminoles in its Atlantic Coast Conference home opener, the broadcast team for the ACC Network has been released, and a former legendary coach from the ACC will be on the call making his broadcasting debut.

UNC Basketball fans will be familiar with two of the announcers on the call for the ACC Network Wes Durham, son of former North Carolina Tar Heels play-by-play radio announcer, and Cory Alexander are returning on the ACC Network again this year. They will be joined on the call by former Syracuse basketball Hall of Fame coach Jim Boeheim.

The game will be the announcing debut for Boeheim after retiring from coaching on March 10th earlier this season. The details on Boeheim joining the CW and ACC Networks can be found here, as the former Orange coach will make his studio debut on Tuesday, December 5th. It is expected that we will see Boeheim announcing broadcasts for several other ACC games throughout the season, specifically on the CW Network.

Of course, if you prefer not to listen to the selection of broadcasters provided by the ACC Network, the option remains to mute your television and listen to the Tar Heels Sports Network on the GoHeels App or TuneIn Radio. You can use syncmygame.com to line up the radio with the broadcast.
