The UNC Football program will travel to Death Valley for the first time since 2014 this week. What uniform combination will we see from the Tar Heels?

The UNC Football program hasn’t played at Clemson since 2014, when they lost 50-35. They have only faced the Tigers a total of three times since then, with two of those coming in the ACC Championship game (2015 and 2022).

Since the topic of this post is uniform reveal, let’s just take a moment and look at the uniform combination the Tar Heels wore the last time they made the trip to Memorial Stadium…

I’m not sure about the majority of UNC Football fans, but I hope we never see that combination ever again. As for this weekend, time to find out the reveal for this weekend’s game.

This may be the best social media uniform reveal we’ve seen in a long time from UNC Football. Incorporating Sutton’s, a Franklin Street staple, is amazing. With that, the Tar Heels revealed they will be going with the “Storm Trooper” attire on the road against the Tigers this week. A uniform that has been “cursed,” in the minds of Tar Heel fans. Prior to this year, they were 0-4 in the matchups since 2019.

The Tar Heels broke that streak with their 41-24 win at Pittsburgh earlier this season. This will be the sixth time in the Mack Brown 2.0 Era that UNC Football will go with the all-white look and the first time they’ve done it twice in the same season.

North Carolina will kick off against Clemson on Saturday at 3:30 PM on ESPN.
