NC State to Beat Virginia Tech

Get ready to be sick, Tar Heel fans… you need to be pulling for the Wolfpack to beat Virginia Tech on Saturday. The Hokies need to lose one of their final two games against NC State or Virginia. I don’t know about you, but I give the Pack a much better chance of beating Virginia Tech than the Cavaliers (yes, I know Virginia beat us… I still believe it was a perfect storm for the Wahoos, though).

If Virginia Tech wins out, North Carolina wins out, and Louisville loses to Miami, the Hokies would win the three-way tiebreaker between North Carolina, Louisville, and Virginia Tech due to their win-loss record versus common opponents. The three common opponents would be Virginia, Pittsburgh, and NC State. The Hokies would finish 3-0, while the Cardinals and Tar Heels would be 2-1, sending Virginia Tech to Charlotte.

Of course, if you can’t bring yourself to pull for the team down the road in Raleigh, we completely understand, but then you’re relying on Virginia to pull the upset over the Hokies on the final weekend of the regular season.

NC State and Virginia Tech are scheduled to kickoff at 3:30 PM on the ACC Network this Saturday.
