UNC to beat Clemson

This may be the most obvious on the list, and if you’re reading this, I shouldn’t have to tell you to pull for the Tar Heels at all, but without a win over Clemson (and NC State next weekend), none of this other stuff matters.

Ranked No. 20 in the most recent College Football Playoff Rankings, the UNC Football program will travel to Memorial Stadium in Death Valley for the first time in nine years in a rematch of last year’s ACC Championship game. The Tar Heels will have to play much better Saturday than they did almost a year ago when they lost 39-10 in Charlotte.

Memorial Stadium is a tough place to play. The Tigers have defended their home field well since the Tar Heels last visited Death Valley on September 27, 2014. That game resulted in a 50-35 loss for North Carolina. Clemson has played a total of 65 games since then and won 62 of them. Three(!!!) home losses in over nine years. Needless to say, the Tar Heels will have their hands full on Saturday, but it’s also a must-win game if there is any hope of making an appearance in Charlotte.

North Carolina will kick off against Clemson at 3:30 PM on ESPN.
