UNC Football: Uniform Combination Revealed For Duke Game
By Jordan Falls
As the UNC Football program prepares for another night game this week, the question arises… what will the Tar Heels wear this week?
We are approaching the portion of the season where repeat uniform combinations are more of a possibility for the UNC Football program. We have seen repeat combinations twice in the last three weeks (versus Virginia and Campbell) from the Tar Heels.
While there are still several combinations that haven’t been worn in 2023 that we have seen in the past from the UNC Football program, it appears that we will see another repeat combination this week as the Tar Heels welcome Duke to Kenan Stadium.
For the second time this season and the first time since Week One versus South Carolina, the UNC Football program will be going with the color rush appearance under the lights for the rivalry matchup this weekend with blue helmets, blue jerseys, and blue pants.
This will be the sixth time that the Tar Heels have worn this specific uniform combination since Mack Brown returned to North Carolina in 2019. UNC Football is 4-2 in those six matchups, including 1-0 this year. It is a great uniform combination to showcase the perfect shade of Carolina Blue in a primetime setting in a big game against a hated rival.
The No. 24-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels will look to keep the Victory Bell in Chapel Hill for another year when they face the Blue Devils at 8:00 PM on the ACC Network Saturday evening.
