As the next recruiting cycle is set to begin, the UNC Basketball program is in the chase for one of the top recruits in the Class of 2025.

November is here, and with that comes the beginning of another college basketball season for the UNC Basketball program. While fans and current players get ready for the play on the court, the coaching staff is always in the cycle of recruiting future Tar Heels.

Isiah Harwell, the No. 7 player in the Class of 2025 according to 247Sports, has narrowed his list of schools down to nine, and the UNC Basketball program has made the cut.

Of the nine schools on his list, North Carolina is the only school on the East Coast. The Tar Heels join Alabama, Baylor, California, Gonzaga, Houston, Idaho State, Texas, and UCLA in the final nine for Harwell.

Of the nine schools, Harwell has only made two unofficial visits, one to Gonzaga and one to Chapel Hill. His visit to North Carolina was in September 2022. He currently only has one official visit scheduled heading into his high school junior season, and that is to Gonzaga in February 2024.

While the Tar Heels do not currently have a commitment for the Class of 2025, Hubert Davis and his staff are hitting the recruiting trail hard and going after several of the top prospects in the class. Harwell would be an exciting commit for Davis and the UNC Basketball program.
