Former UNC Basketball legendary head coach Roy Williams attended the Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Hornets game on Monday evening.

A trio of former UNC Basketball players had their NBA teams face off against each other on Monday evening when the Brooklyn Nets visited the Charlotte Hornets, and they had their former head coach sitting courtside.

The Nets and Hornets have three former Tar Heels on their rosters, with the Nets rostering Day’Ron Sharpe and Cameron Johnson and the Hornets rostering NBA rookie Leaky Black. Unfortunately, Sharpe was the only one of the trio that Roy Williams got to see play on Monday night.

Johnson is expected to miss at least ten more days, if not more, as he is recovering from a calf strain injury that he recently suffered. Meanwhile, Black, still in the early stages of his professional career as a rookie, did not play as a coach’s decision.

Sharpe had an impressive night in front of his former head coach, even in limited minutes for the Nets. In ten minutes of game action, Sharpe was 5-8 from the field with 11 points and 8 rebounds.

The Nets defeated the Hornets 133-121 in each team’s third regular season game. Brooklyn will be back in action on Wednesday, November 1st, when they travel to Miami. Charlotte will travel to Houston on Wednesday.
