No. 5: Fool me once…

There’s an old saying, “Fool me once, shame on you; Fool me twice, shame on me.”

The last time I decided to take the UNC football program with a huge spread was the Appalachian State game, one in which the Tar Heels were favored to win by 19.

Yes, part of me feels like I jinxed it by predicting the Tar Heels to cover. I’m not making that mistake again.

As of Wednesday, the UNC football program is favored by 23.5 points over Virginia. I’m going to say that the Tar Heels won’t cover the spread (even though I’ll be very happy if they do cover it).

I might be reading into this one a little bit, but hey, I’m not willing to take that chance again.
