After a whirlwind of a college career, former UNC Basketball player Seventh Woods has found a landing spot to begin his professional basketball career.

Former UNC basketball player Seventh Woods was a highlight-reel sensation when he was recruited to Chapel Hill and committed to the program in late 2014. He had mixtapes that were breaking the internet with his insane athleticism.

Unfortunately for Woods, his time as a Tar Heel didn’t really pan out, and that athleticism didn’t translate to the court in Chapel Hill, mainly because he was competing for the starting point guard position with Joel Berry and Coby White. While Woods was a backup on the 2017 National Championship team, he didn’t see much action as a freshman.

After three seasons in Chapel Hill, he transferred back to his home state to play for the South Carolina Gamecocks, where he redshirted the 2019-2020 season. He played for the Gamecocks for one season before entering the transfer portal once again.

The third school he landed was Morgan State, where he started in eighteen games for the Bears and averaged 5.4 points per game. He ended his college career at the end of the 2022 basketball season. Now, Woods has resurfaced at the professional level after recovering from herniated disc surgery last year.

The former UNC Basketball player is now headed to Ireland to play overseas for the UCC Demons, who are part of the Super League and play in Cork, Ireland. Woods will be hoping to be able to gain some confidence back that it felt he never was able to achieve at the collegiate level, no matter the program he was with, after being a high school sensation almost a decade ago.
