The ACC conference office released the official 2023-2024 women’s basketball schedule on Tuesday evening. How does it look for UNC Women’s Basketball?

The UNC Women’s Basketball program released its non-conference schedule just under two months ago.

In case you haven’t seen it, it is LOADED with competition.

Naturally, every year, the ACC is one of the country’s toughest women’s basketball conferences, and this year will be no different. So, what does the conference portion look like for the Tar Heels? Let’s dive in!

The UNC Women’s Basketball program will tip off ACC play on New Year’s Eve in Carmichael Arena with a home game against the Clemson Tigers. Highlights of the 18-game conference schedule include a home-and-home series with rivals NC State and Duke and the defending ACC Champion and Final Four team from a season ago, Virginia Tech. The Virginia Cavaliers will also be the other opponent part of a home-and-home rotation for the 2023-2024 schedule.

In addition to the teams above, the Tar Heels will host Syracuse, Louisville, Miami, and Pittsburgh in Chapel Hill during the upcoming season, facing each team only one time during the regular season. North Carolina will travel on the road and face each of the following teams only once as well: Notre Dame, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest.

The pre-season rankings haven’t been released yet for the upcoming season, but we expect five ACC teams and UNC Women’s Basketball to begin the season ranked in the top 25. The Tar Heels tip off the 2023-2024 basketball season on Wednesday, November 8th, in Chapel Hill versus Gardner-Webb.
