UNC Football: Game Four Uniform Reveal vs Pittsburgh
By Jordan Falls
The UNC Football program will head on the road this weekend for the first ACC matchup of the season. What will the Tar Heels wear on Saturday evening?
It’s our favorite time of the week leading up to kickoff for the UNC football team, as they will be playing their first road game of the 2023 season when they travel to Pittsburgh on Saturday evening. This is a series that has been close almost every time these two teams match up on the field.
As for the uniforms, what will the Tar Heels show up in when they arrive at Acrisure Stadium this weekend?
Unlike in college basketball, where the home team typically wears white jerseys, the opposite is true for college football. The Tar Heels will not only wear white jerseys on Saturday night when it faces the Panthers but also white helmets and white pants, otherwise known as the “Storm Trooper” look.
This is the first time the UNC football program has gone all-white since 2021, when it traveled to Georgia Tech and lost 45-22. While it is a clean look, and several fans love this appearance from the Tar Heels, they haven’t performed well while wearing all-white since Mack Brown returned to Chapel Hill, as they are 0-4 during that time span.
North Carolina will look to change that when it takes the field against Pittsburgh in the first ACC matchup of the season. You can catch the Tar Heels on Saturday night at 8:00 PM on the ACC Network.
