UNC Basketball: Coaches Visiting Class of 2025 Recruits
By Jordan Falls
The UNC Basketball coaching staff has begun visiting its Class of 2025 recruits this week as the first recruiting period for 2023-2024 opened up.
The first NCAA recruiting period for the 2023-2024 year began on September 9th and runs through November 5th, and the UNC basketball coaching staff wasted no time getting on the recruiting trail to visit several of its targets in the Class of 2025.
While we don’t know which members of the coaching staff are making visits to every player, there are reports that the Tar Heels visited Isiah Harwell on Tuesday, September 12th. Harwell is currently the No. 6 recruit in the Class of 2025, according to 247Sports.
According to Rivals reporter David Sisk, members of the UNC Basketball coaching staff visited Caleb Wilson, the No. 5 recruit in the Class of 2025, on Monday, September 11th.
Sisk also reported that the Tar Heels visited Koa Peat, the No. 3 recruit in the Class of 2025.
UNC basketball assistant coach Jeff Lebo made a visit to Sadiq White Jr, the No. 22 player in the Class of 2025, on Wednesday, September 13th.
Lastly, some members of the staff were in West Virginia on Tuesday, September 12th, visiting Hunting Prep and the No. 2 player in the 2025 Class, Darryn Peterson.
Needless to say, the Tar Heels are hitting the recruiting trail hard for the Class of 2025 and appear to be showing signs that they are finished with their 2024 Class. There is no shortage of talent among the 2025 UNC basketball targets, and Hubert Davis is attempting to make a statement on the recruiting trail by landing Carolina its second consecutive No. 1 recruiting class.
