The UNC Basketball programs have announced Live Action with Carolina Basketball details to kick off the 2023-2024 basketball season.

The sign that another UNC basketball season is right around the corner… Live Action (formerly known as Late Night) with Carolina Basketball.

Traditionally held on a Friday night in mid-October, this year’s event will be no different. North Carolina has finally announced the long-awaited details of this 2023 version.

The event will be held on Friday, October 13th, at the Dean E. Smith Center. The doors to the Smith Center will open to the public at 5:30 PM, with the event beginning at 7:00 PM. More details for the event are likely to be released closer to the date as far as what to expect during the evening.

This is the first chance to see the 2023-2024 hardwood Tar Heels. The event will feature both the men’s and women’s teams. The men, of course, have a revamped roster, with plenty of new faces after missing the NCAA Tournament in the 2022-2023 season.

The women are returning several starters from last year and bringing in some key transfers as well, coming off a second-round NCAA Tournament appearance as a six-seed last season.

The event is scheduled the night before a home football game that could turn out to be a pretty big game versus the Miami Hurricanes. It’s a great opportunity to make a weekend trip to Chapel Hill and get to see Tar Heel basketball and football.
