UNC Basketball: Future Commit wins SLAM Summer Classic MVP

UNC Basketball fans are going to want to see what commit Ian Jackson did to earn the Most Valuable Player of the 2023 SLAM Summer Classic.

Ian Jackson continues to give UNC basketball fans something to look forward to in the 2024-2025 season by showcasing his talent on the court in various showcases and events. Most recently, Jackson participated in the 2023 SLAM Summer Classic, Volume 5 and you definitely want to see what he did.

Jackson dropped 45(!!!!) points leading his team (Team Ian) to a 160-151 overtime victory over Team Dylan – led by led by the No. 2 recruit in the Class of 2024 Dylan Harper). His performance was good enough to earn him the Most Valuable Player trophy for the event. It was the fifth annual SLAM Summer Classic event which features 28 of the top high school players in the country,  boys and girls.

Jackson is currently ranked as the No. 6 player in the Class of 2024 by 247Sports and is part of the No. 1 recruiting class in the country. Is this latest performance in the SLAM Summer Classic just another glimpse into the future of what UNC basketball fans can expect from Jackson when he steps foot on campus next year?
