UNC Basketball landed Harrison Ingram in the transfer portal during the 2023 off-season, and he has now been ranked among the top transfers this season.

When Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program landed Stanford transfer Harrison Ingram this off-season, it was exciting news in Chapel Hill. Ingram was a highly-ranked recruit out of high school who chose the Cardinal over the Tar Heels two years ago. So when he chose to pick the Tar Heels the second time around, UNC basketball fans were excited.

Ingram is expected to step on campus and make an immediate impact on a team looking to improve off one of the most disappointing seasons in recent history. On Tuesday, Jamie Shaw with On3Sports ranked his top college basketball transfers of the offseason, and Ingram made his way onto this list.

Ingram was ranked as the No. 4 transfer in the 2023 transfer portal by Shaw. UNC basketball fans will recognize one familiar name ranked in the top ten (and in front of Ingram) as the No. 3 ranked transfer, former Tar Heel Caleb Love.

Love originally transferred to Michigan after leaving Chapel Hill, but then after some issues came up with the Wolverines, Love then chose to attend the University of Arizona.

It is expected that Ingram will start at the number four position (formerly known as the power forward position) for Hubert Davis when the season approaches. The hope is that Ingram will provide plenty of versatility for the Tar Heels with Armando Bacot handling most of the post work.
