The UNC football program has extended a scholarship offer to Class of 2025 offensive lineman Hardy Watts from Massachusetts.

The calendar just turned to August and the 2023 UNC football season is about to begin in just under a month. However, in college athletics, the recruiting cycle never stops. Mack Brown and the Tar Heels already have two commits for the 2025 recruiting class and now have extended a scholarship offer to 2025 offensive lineman Hardy Watts.

Watts is listed as an interior offensive lineman according to his 247Sports profile. The Brookline, Massachusetts native is a six-foot-five high school junior weighing in at 275 pounds.  According to 247Sports, he has a four-star composite rating and is currently the No. 284 player in the country and the No. 14 interior offensive lineman for the 2025 class.

He has offers from nine other schools, Duke, Miami, Michigan State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Syracuse, Texas A&M, and West Virginia. The Tar Heels have now joined that list and will hope to land a rising talent to their offensive line.

UNC football offensive line coach Randy Clements is the lead recruiter on Watts, and he is the fourth offensive lineman to receive a scholarship offer from the Tar Heels for the class of 2025.
