UNC basketball program Class of 2024 recruit Jarin Stevenson has narrowed his list of schools in his recruitment down to three.

Jarin Stevenson recently visited the UNC basketball program and has now taken the next step in his recruiting process by reportedly narrowing his list of possible schools to just three programs.

Hubert Davis and UNC basketball made the final cut for Stevenson, including the University of Virginia and the University of Alabama.

Stevenson is a composite five-star recruit who is ranked 16th overall in the country by 247Sports. The six-foot-ten power forward is considered to be one of the top three players at his position in the Class of 2024.

There is still uncertainty around Stevenson possibly reclassifying, the Tar Heels would be thrilled to have Stevenson in either class (2023 or 2024). Three open scholarship spots remain for the 2023-2024 team, and Stevenson joining them is still a possibility.

While this is still speculation at this point in the process, we do expect confirmation of this news soon with a decision coming shortly after. We do not know when Stevenson plans to make a decision, but the consensus around the UNC basketball program and on the recruiting trail is that he plans to announce his choice of school in the near future along with a decision on reclassifying.

The UNC basketball recruiting Class of 2024 is already ranked No. 1 in the country, despite losing Elliot Cadeau to the Class of 2023. If Stevenson were to not reclassify, it would all but lock up the top spot in recruiting the 2024 class for Hubert Davis and the program.
