The UNC Women’s Lacrosse program announced that veteran head coach Jenny Levy would be a Tar Heel with a contract extension for a few more years.

Any time you can keep one of the best coaches in the country at their profession on your staff, you should do so, and North Carolina Athletics Director Bubba Cunningham is doing just that.

The UNC Women’s Lacrosse program has signed head coach Jenny Levy to a four-year contract extension.

The new contract will run through the 2027 season and solidifies Levy’s spot as one of the greatest coaches in the sport’s history. Levy has been the head coach of UNC Women’s Lacrosse since the beginning of the program in 1994 and has led the Tar Heels to unimaginable heights, including winning three National Championships and seven ACC Championships.

Levy is the third-most winningest coach in NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse with 411 career wins and the winningest coach in ACC history with a 103-35 record. Levy had this to say about receiving the contract extension:

"“I am extremely honored to not only be the head women’s lacrosse coach at North Carolina but also to be given the trust and confidence to lead this program. Thank you to Chancellor Kevin Guskiewicz, Bubba Cunningham, the Board of Trustees, and everyone within UNC Athletics for allowing me the opportunity to continue doing what has been the joy of a lifetime: Coaching incredible student-athletes and being part of the UNC community. My staff and I are more determined and motivated than ever to keep making our university, fans, and alumni proud, and we’re excited about the bright future ahead.”"
