Baseball – The Diamond Heels are the only North Carolina Tar Heels athletic program still in their regular season portion of the schedule and have two weeks remaining. The Tar Heels have a mid-week matchup with Gardner-Webb at home on Tuesday, May 9th at 6:00 PM.

Following that, Carolina will head into the weekend with a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday ACC series with rival NC State and will have Senior Day on Saturday. The game times for the series will be 7 PM Thursday (ACC Network Extra), 7 PM Friday (ACC Network), and 2 PM (ACC Network Extra) on Saturday. Fighting for seeding in the ACC Baseball tournament and continuing to build their NCAA Tournament resume, this is a huge weekend for the Diamond Heels.

Softball – Carolina has advanced to the ACC postseason by earning the No. 6 seed in the ACC. They will face no. 3 seed Clemson on Thursday at 7:30 PM on the ACC Network.

The ACC Softball tournament is a single elimination format, with the semi-finals on Friday, May 12, and the Championship on Saturday, May 13.

Women’s Lacrosse – Carolina earned the no. 4 overall seed in the 2023 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Tournament with a 14-4 overall record and a 7-2 ACC record. The Tar Heels saw their streak of six straight ACC tournament titles come to an end when they lost to Boston College last weekend in the ACC Championship game.

The defending NCAA Champions will be looking to make another run at a National Championship beginning this weekend by hosting the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament.

Carolina will play Sacred Heart on Friday at 2 PM on ESPN+. The Richmond-Marquette game will follow at 5 PM with the winners of each game facing each other on Sunday, May 14 at 12:00 PM. TV Network is TBA.

Men’s Tennis – After winning their first two matchups in the NCAA Tournament, the Tar Heels will now advance to the round of 16 and head to Austin, Texas to face the no. 1 overall seed Texas Longhorns. The two teams will meet on Saturday, May 13 at 4 PM (Eastern Time) to advance to the round of eight.

Women’s Tennis – The No. 1 overall seed Tar Heels get to stay home for another weekend in the NCAA Tournament as they will host the no. 16-seed Florida Gators. The match will take place on Friday, May 12 at 5:00 PM in Chapel Hill with the chance to advance to the round of eight in the NCAA Tournament.
