Are Hubert Davis and the UNC Basketball program picking up some momentum on the recruiting trail in the transfer portal? UNC has scheduled an in-home visit.

After a few weeks of silence from within the UNC Basketball program since before the NCAA regulated recruiting dead period, there’s been some movement on the recruiting trail over the last several days, beginning with Jae’lyn Withers committing to the Tar Heels just yesterday.

Now Coach Davis and his staff have an in-home visit scheduled with former Stanford wing player, Harrison Ingram.

Ingram has been linked to UNC since the day he entered the portal on April 5. The Tar Heels were one of the favorites during the recruitment of Ingram out of high school in 2020. However, Ingram chose Stanford and former Tar Heel assistant coach Jerrod Haase over UNC.

As expected, several other schools are also recruiting the highly touted Cardinal forward this time around. Besides hearing from the UNC basketball program, Ingram has 3 other in-home visits scheduled.

Ingram is currently ranked No. 25 in the transfer portal according to 247Sports and would be a huge addition to any team that is able to gain a commitment out of him. It doesn’t appear that we will see an announcement in the immediate days, as some of the visits may come next week.

Will the Tar Heels be able to land a commitment from the former five-star recruit from the class of 2020 during their second recruitment of him?
