Previewing the upcoming week for North Carolina Tar Heels Athletics for the week of April 10, 2023, thru April 16, 2023.

It’s a busy week for UNC Athletics with multiple events and some home games into the weekend. If you’re looking to spend a weekend in Chapel Hill, April 13th thru April 15th would be the perfect weekend for you to see multiple Tar Heel teams.

Football – The UNC football program will wrap up its spring season on Saturday, April 15th at 3 PM with the annual Spring Game in Kenan Stadium. It will be the last chance for fans to get a preview glimpse of the 2023 Tar Heels before the fall. All information on the spring game can be found here at www.goheels.com.

Baseball – The Diamond Heels kick off a nine-game homestand on Tuesday night at 6 PM welcoming Queens (N.C.) University to The Bosh. The Tar Heels will try to record their fifth straight ACC series win heading into the weekend as they welcome the  Miami Hurricanes to town starting on Thursday. The Hurricanes will be coming to Chapel Hill after losing three in a row to Virginia.

Once again, it’s a big coastal division weekend series with the Tar Heels currently in second place at 8-5 in the conference behind Virginia at 11-4. UNC and Miami will play Thursday at 7 PM on ACC Network, Friday at 6 PM on ESPNU, and Saturday at 12 PM on ACC Network Extra.

Women’s Lacrosse – The Tar Heels will hit the road to face the East Carolina Pirates on Tuesday afternoon at 4 PM in Greenville, NC. The Pirates are 10-3 on the year and will be looking to upset the Tar Heels. Following that matchup, UNC will return home on Saturday for a huge ACC weekend matchup with the Syracuse Orange at 12 PM.

The Orange are No. 1 in the country with a 14-0 record. While UNC has a loss in the ACC, with a win over Syracuse, they will control their own destiny in the ACC to win another conference championship. It will also be Senior Day for the Tar Heels.

Men’s Lacrosse – The Carolina men’s lacrosse team will also face the Syracuse Orange this weekend as well. This matchup will take place in Olney, Maryland at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School on Saturday at 4 PM on ESPNU. UNC will be looking to bounce back from a tough loss against #3 Virginia last week in Chapel Hill.

Women’s Tennis – The #1 ranked Tar Heels will look to remain undefeated heading into the final week of the regular season. They are currently 26-0 and 12-0 in the ACC. UNC will face rival Duke on Friday at 3 PM on Senior Day in Chapel Hill.

Men’s Tennis – The Tar Heels will be looking to progress in the ACC standings during the season’s final week as they have two matchups, both in Chapel Hill. The first matchup for UNC will be Florida State on Friday at 6 PM. The Tar Heels sit at 7-3 in the ACC and are tied for fourth in the ACC with NC State. The Seminoles are 8-2 in the conference and in third place. On Sunday, and Senior Day for UNC, the Tar Heels will face Miami at 1 PM hoping to finish the season strong heading into the conference championship.

As you can see, it’s a busy week in Chapel Hill, especially as we head into the weekend. Head to Chapel Hill on Friday afternoon (or Thursday if you have an extended weekend!) and catch a game with the Diamond Heels at The Bosh. Then on Saturday either head over to Dorrance Field for a top-five women’s lacrosse game between Syracuse and Carolina or back to The Bosh for game three of the Diamond Heels vs Hurricanes at noon. After that, make your way to Kenan Memorial Stadium for the football Spring Game and get a look at Drake Maye and the 2023 Tar Heels.
