Former UNC Basketball player Will Shaver revealed Tuesday afternoon that he would be visiting multiple schools in the coming weeks.

Will Shaver entered the transfer portal a few weeks ago following his redshirt freshman season at North Carolina. Shaver enrolled early to join the UNC Basketball program in January of 2022 to get a head start on his collegiate career.

He was able to travel with the team for the end of the 2022 season and got to go on a thrilling ride in March as the Tar Heels made it to the National Championship game.

After playing in only three games as a freshman at the beginning of the 2023 season, Shaver suffered a broken foot that sidelined him for the rest of the season.

Now, according to Dushawn London, Shaver has announced that he will be visiting a list of several schools across the next few weeks to determine where he will play next for the rest of his college career.

As we know by now, due to injuries and other reasons, we didn’t get to see much of Shaver in Chapel Hill. Most of the schools that Shaver is visiting, and probably has mutual interests with, are mid-major type programs.

In the source above, it says he is looking to visit ACC-foe Virginia, but that seems like a longshot than a true possibility.

All Carolina fans gladly wish Shaver the best in his future endeavors and wherever he chooses to play next.
