Previewing the upcoming week for UNC Athletics for March 27, 2023, thru April 2, 2023.

Football- The week kicks off with the UNC football program’s Pro Day, featuring five Tar Heels from last year’s squad:

Not only will it be interesting to see how all five players do on their Pro Day, but this serves as an opportunity for Drake Maye to throw in front of NFL scouts. With this in mind, expect NFL scouts to be drooling watching the potential 2024 draft pick sling the football.

Baseball – The Diamond Heels wrap up a five-game homestand Tuesday vs Coastal Carolina at 6 PM in Chapel Hill. It will be the last home game for the Tar Heels for two weeks as they will be on the road for two weekends and have a neutral site game in between.

After the mid-week game with the Chanticleers, Carolina will head to South Bend for an ACC series with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Irish are 12-9 overall and 3-5 in the ACC. They will play Friday at 6 PM, Saturday at 3 PM, and Sunday at 1 PM. All four games this week can be found on ACCNX.

Softball – The Tar Heels will look to build off winning their first ACC series against Boston College this past weekend as they have four upcoming games this week. They will face East Carolina on Wednesday at 8 PM in Chapel Hill before getting on the road again for another ACC weekend series against Virginia. UVA is 23-10 overall and 4-5 in the conference.

Women’s Lacrosse – North Carolina fell from the top spot in the polls down to #3 last week following their loss to Northwestern. However, they bounced back with two strong wins over High Point and #22 Clemson.

The Tar Heels will travel to South Bend Saturday to face Notre Dame at 12 PM (so if you’re in the South Bend area, you can catch the Diamond Heels and women’s lacrosse team the same weekend!). The Irish are 6-3 on the year and 3-2 in the ACC. Carolina will look to improve to 10-1 and 6-0 on the season.

Men’s Tennis – The #11 ranked Tar Heels have two big rival matches this weekend, both matches taking place in Chapel Hill. They will face #25 NC State on Friday night and #14 Wake Forest on Sunday. The Wolfpack are 11-6 overall and 5-1 in the ACC. The Demon Deacons are 21-6 overall and 5-1 in the ACC. Carolina sits above both teams in the conference with a 6-1 record. The Tar Heels are 14-5 on the year.

Women’s Tennis – The #1 ranked Tar Heels have two home ACC matches this week. They will face Florida State on Friday at 2 PM and #13 Miami Saturday at 1 PM. Carolina will look to keep their undefeated record alive this week. They are currently 22-0 overall and 8-0 in the conference..
