As we near the end of the 2022-2023 regular season and the start of the playoffs, here is an update on some former UNC Basketball stars in the NBA. 

With just under three weeks to go in the NBA season, many former Tar Heels are hoping to finish their 2022-23 season on a positive note and help earn their team a spot in the postseason.

After a long weekend of games, here is how former UNC Basketball stars performed.

Cole Anthony

In 28 minutes, Sunday, Cole Anthony finished with 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in a loss to the Lakers, 111-105.

Anthony and the Magic are in the midst of a final playoff push, as they are 5.5 spots out of the 10th seed.

2022-23 stats: 52 games played, 12.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists.

Next game: 3/21, vs. Washington

Harrison Barnes

In 30 minutes, Harrison Barnes finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists in a 128-120 loss to Jazz.

Barnes has played a pivotal role in the Kings’ success this year, as they are set to make the playoffs for the first time in 16 years.

2022-23 stats: 71 games, 15 points, 4.7 rebounds, 47.1 FG%

Next game: 3/21, vs. Boston

Reggie Bullock

In 31 minutes, Bullock contributed 7/3/3 in a 112-108 loss to the Grizzlies. As the NBA regular season is coming to a close, the former UNC forward is trying to secure his third straight trip to the NBA playoffs.

Cam Johnson

Cam Johnson posted 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists in 34 minutes in a 108-102 loss to Denver.

Johnson continues to excel since being traded to Brooklyn last month, averaging career-highs in almost every statistical category.

2022-23 stats: 32 games, 15.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 39.3 3P%

Nassir Little

Nassir Little played 25 minutes in the Trailblazers’ 117-102 loss to the Clippers, scoring 4 points and grabbing 1 rebound.

Day’ron Sharpe

Despite only playing 8 minutes, Day’ron Sharpe finished with 5 points and 5 rebounds in Brooklyn’s loss to Denver.

Coby White

Coby White played a significant role in Chicago’s double overtime win vs. Philadelphia Monday night. The former UNC star finished with 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists in 27 minutes for the Bulls.

White and the Bulls hope to lock up their spot in the NBA play-in games, as the Bulls currently hold the 10th seed.
