Former UNC Football wide receiver Mack Hollins will be finding himself with a new team in the NFL in 2023 after a career season.

According to Taylor Vippolis, former UNC football wide receiver Mack Hollins will be signing with a new team in the NFL this season.

Hollins has bounced around between several teams in the NFL. He spent his first three seasons in the league with the Philadelphia Eagles from 2017-2019. In December 2019, he was waived and then claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins. He spent the next 2 seasons with the Dolphins for 2020 and 2021.

After a career year in 2021 with the Dolphins, Hollins signed a one-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders last spring worth $22 million. He followed that up with another career season of his own racking up 690 yards on 57 catches averaging 12.1 yards per catch.

Now the former Tar Heel is headed back to the east coast and signing with the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are in the process of rebuilding their offensive talent after trading Calvin Ridley last season to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It is possible that the Falcons could have plans for Hollins could be the number two wide receiver behind 2022 first-round draft pick Drake London for the upcoming season.

Hollins played in Chapel Hill from 2014-2016 racking up insane numbers and being a huge asset on special teams for the Tar Heels. He averaged 20.5 yards per catch during his three seasons at Carolina while also catching almost 20% of his passes for touchdowns (20 touchdowns on 81 catches).

Local UNC football fans in the Carolinas will now get the opportunity to see the former Tar Heel in person at least once a year when the Falcons visit NFC South rival, the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, North Carolina.
