Three top prospects with ties to the UNC basketball program received an invite to participate in the USA Basketball Junior National Team minicamp.

Recruiting continues to be a strength for the UNC men’s basketball team, as commit Ian Jackson and top recruits Boogie Fland and Isiah Harwell have received another national honor. These three athletes were among the sixty-one players invited to participate in the USA Basketball Junior National Team minicamp.

The camp was exclusive to only the top prospects in the class of 2024, 2025, and 2026. Players will compete in on-court drills and scrimmages, as well as participate in a series of educational programs.

The event will take place from March 31-April 2, and will be hosted in conjunction with the NCAA men’s Final Four in Houston, Texas.

For 2024 5-star commit Ian Jackson, this is yet another impressive accomplishment for his High School career.

Jackson headlines North Carolina’s No. 1 ranked recruiting class, which also consists of Elliott Cadeau, Drake Powell, and James Brown.

2024 CG Boogie Fland and 2025 SG Isiah Harwell can join this already-stacked class and make it even better.

Boogie Fland, the No. 7 player in his class, has a high interest in the Tar Heels and recently took an official visit to UNC on September 30. Coincidently, Fland plays for the same high school as current UNC star R.J. Davis.

Isiah Harwell, a sensational guard from Mount Pleasant, Utah, would certainly be a major pickup for North Carolina. The Tar Heels offered Harwell in September of last year.

This news is proof of the excellent job Head Coach Hubert Davis and his staff have done in recruiting. Accomplishments from recruits like this confirm that the future of the UNC men’s basketball program is indeed bright in Chapel Hill.
