Who can forget this one?

If those clips don’t get you excited about the return of baseball soon, I am not sure what will. If nothing else, let’s put some respect on the name of Honeycutt. He had an incredible freshman season which is earning all of these preseason accolades. Let’s take a look at those numbers.

Last season Honeycutt finished the season with a .296 average. He hit 25 home runs, had 57 RBIs, and 29 stolen bases to become the first 20-20 player in school history. His 25 home runs were a program single-season and freshman record.

The Diamond Heels opens the 2023 season on Feb. 17 against Seton Hall at Boshamer Stadium. The North Carolina Tar Heels are ranked 17th in Baseball America Top 25 preseason rankings. It is their fourth preseason Top 20 ranking of the year.
