The No. 13 ranked UNC women’s basketball program may be in for another dominant victory Wednesday morning when South Carolina State travels to Chapel Hill.

The UNC women’s basketball program looks to continue its impressive start to the 2022-2023 season, as they play a struggling South Carolina State team.

In their first two outings, the Heels have won in commanding fashion and have looked unstoppable at times.

Tomorrow morning, North Carolina looks to continue their dominance and improve to a perfect 3-0 record.

Key To Victory

The Tar Heels have a clear advantage in this one.

When you compare both teams, North Carolina has an advantage in every stat.

UNC averages 83-points per game, while SC State averages 37. UNC shoots 51.6% from the field, while SC State shoots a subpar 32.2%.

If South Carolina State winds up winning this one, it would take a massive collapse from North Carolina.

The key for the Tar Heels is to stay disciplined.

If they can take care of business early and do what they’ve done all year, it will likely end in a UNC blowout-victory.

Something To Watch

North Carolina is going to continue to score at a high level in this one and it will be interesting to see how many points they end up with.

In two games this season, North Carolina scored 91 and 75. They will be facing an SC State squad that has struggled to slow down opposing offenses, which means the Tar Heels may be in for a big day.

UNC may be able to eclipse their season-high, and potentially reach 100 points. The last time North Carolina did that was last season against UNC Asheville when they scored 107 points.

Last Matchup

These two teams last met on December 3, 2020. The Tar Heels dominated the Lady Bulldogs 98-28.

All five starters for North Carolina finished the game with double-digit scoring. Freshman Deja Kelly’s 16-points led the way for UNC.

However, Kennedy Todd-Williams may have had the best performance that night. Also, a freshman, she finished the night one assist shy of a triple-double, putting up 14-points, 10-rebounds, and 9-assists.

Projected Starting Lineup

Deja Kelly
