The UNC basketball recruiting target has dominated on the summer circuit, gaining interest from college basketball’s most historic programs.

Four-star forward T. J. Power has quickly climbed the ranks of the UNC basketball recruiting board in the month of July. The class of 2023 prospect received an offer from the Tar Heels on July 12th and is currently on an official visit in Chapel Hill.

The Shrewsbury, Massachusetts native appeared in nine games a EYBL Peach Jam this past week, averaging 15.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists. Powers finished in the top-20 in both scoring and rebounding for the tournament.

Fresh off of a dominant week in North Augusta, Power is looking to ramp up his recruitment.

While the 6-foot-8 forward will be in Chapel Hill on Monday, he will make the trip to Durham for an official visit at Duke on Tuesday.

With an impressive week on the summer circuit, Power has secured the attention of scouts and coaches across the country.

Power currently ranks as the No. 53 overall recruit in the class of 2023 and the No. 1 player from the state of Massachusetts. As the recruiting rankings are updated at the conclusion of the summer, Power has certainly ensured a rise in stock.

After the decommitment of five-star GG Jackson, Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels have initiated a full-court press for Power’s services. Five-star guard Simeon Wilcher is the only commitment for the UNC basketball program in 2023, making the pursuit of Power even more important.

With UNC fandom running in the Power family, the North Carolina staff has the chance to secure a successful recruiting class in 2023.
