The Peach Jam is one of the biggest stages for high school prospects to showcase their game and some UNC basketball recruiting targets showcased their talents on Thursday.

The country’s best high school basketball players are going head-to-head this week at the Peach Jam in North Augusta, South Carolina. Hubert Davis’ staff has had a lot to keep track of as UNC basketball recruiting commit Simeon Wilcher and other potential targets are impressing coaches from all over the country.

Wilcher has been one of the top-performing guards at the tournament and that continued on Thursday as he recorded 21 points, five assists, three boards, and three steals while leading his Albany City Rocks to another win.

This was far from the first time the New Jersey native made headlines this week as he had a game earlier in the event where he scored 30 points on a ridiculously efficient 10-12 from the floor.  Wilcher also made highlights with this game-clinching drive on Tuesday:

While Davis is undoubtedly not done assembling the 2023 class, a couple of players in the class of 2024 also made some noise on Thursday.

Four-star small forward Drake Powell had a big game for team CP3, scoring 19 points while dishing out seven assists and grabbing four rebounds.  Powell has offers from Virginia Tech, Tennessee, and Florida State among others to go along with his offer from North Carolina.

Two other Tar Heel targets excelled on Thursday for Charlotte’s Team United.  Cam Scott, a highly-touted guard from South Carolina, dropped 18 points, while North Carolina native and five-star big man Jarin Stevenson pulled down 10 rebounds.

The UNC basketball recruiting staff is trying to build on the momentum from the tournament run this past March on the recruiting trail, and there has been a lot for them to take in at the Peach Jam watching these and other coveted players.
