UNC basketball standout Armando Bacot has signed a new NIL deal with Bad Boy Mowers.

When the 2022-23 college basketball season begins, Armando Bacot will be one of the most celebrated and decorated players in the country. He’ll also be one of the most well-paid, having signed a number of lucrative name, image, and likeness deals over the past several months.

His most recent NIL deal, which he signed on Friday, is with Bad Boy Mowers, a company that has risen to prominence thanks to its popular line of commercial and residential zero-turn mowers.

"“I’m pumped to be teaming up with Bad Boy Mowers, the brand that changed the zero-turn lawnmower game forever,” Bacot said in a tweet with a picture of him wearing a Bad Boy Mowers basketball jersey. “We’re doing big things together this year.”"

Bacot also has NIL deals in place with Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, a popular Maryland-based seafood restaurant, popular online video platform Cameo, and educational and corporate training platform Engage among others.

Many suspect that without new NIL opportunities afforded to college athletes, Bacot would have foregone his senior season at North Carolina en route to the 2022 NBA Draft. Instead, the Tar Heels will enjoy a fourth and (likely) final season with Bacot, a surefire preseason All-American, roaming the painted area and wreaking havoc on the glass.
