Ahead of Monday night’s National Championship Game, the UNC basketball program released a hype video that every Tar Heels fan needs to see.

The road ends here.

Win or lose, tonight marks the final game of the college basketball season for the North Carolina Tar Heels, who’ve far exceeded the expectations of almost everyone, including myself. Admittedly, I didn’t see it playing out like this, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised and more than happy to be wrong.

A team that struggled to compete in big games early in the season and lost a shocker to Pittsburgh at home in mid-February, that Tar Heels team isn’t the same one we’ve watched roll off five consecutive victories in the NCAA Tournament leading up to a date with the top-seeded Kansas Jayhawks in the National Championship Game.

But here we are, and just as they were in most of their games prior, the Tar Heels are underdogs to a team that nearly everyone expects to win. The experts thought that North Carolina would lose to Baylor and Duke, and many of them thought that UCLA and even Saint Peters would knock out the formerly fledgling Tar Heels.

That simply hasn’t happened, though, as the Tar Heels have beaten every opponent they’ve faced over the past three weeks, contrary to the predictions of nearly every analyst and TV personality and college basketball pundit.

If all of that and the stakes of tonight’s game aren’t enough to get UNC fans amped up, the Tar Heels released a brand new National Championship Game hype video that every North Carolina fan should see.

This is it. When the Tar Heels take the court on Monday night against the Jayhawks, it’ll be the last time this season that anyone can bet against them. It’ll be the last time that they’re called the underdog, or expected to lose by nearly everyone.

On Monday night, the Tar Heels can shut everyone up one final time this season. It doesn’t matter to them if nobody else believes in them; they believe in themselves.

North Carolina and Kansas tip-off at 9:20 p.m. EST for all the marbles.
