Former UNC basketball players react on social media to the Tar Heels’ Final Four victory over the Duke Blue Devils.

The North Carolina Tar Heels beat the Duke Blue Devils in Saturday night’s much-anticipated Final Four matchup in New Orleans, sending head coach Mike Krzyzewski into retirement a game sooner than he or his buddies at ESPN expected.

That’s right; the Blue Devils’ longtime head coach didn’t get the storybook ending that everyone anticipated he would and the Tar Heels are to blame. He finishes his career with a 50-50 record against North Carolina, losing his final two games against the Tar Heels and four out of the last five.

Immediately following the game, former North Carolina players took to social media to express their feelings of happiness and congratulations to Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels.
