Former UNC basketball star Harrison Barnes continued his recent hot streak on Thursday night, leading the Sacramento Kings to victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

Harrison Barnes was back at it on Thursday night, putting together yet another sensational performance that led the Sacramento Kings to a 115-112 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

Barnes reached the 20-point plateau for the eighth time in his last 13 games, scoring a team-high 27 points on just eight shots, six of which he connected on. He converted 4-for-5 from three-point range, but it was at the free throw line that he really made a living, going 11-for-14 for the game.

Barnes, a 10-year veteran out of North Carolina, also pulled down five rebounds, dished out two assists, and blocked one shot in the tightly contested Western Conference matchup.

Barnes has strung together his best month of the season since scoring 19 points in a win over the Brooklyn Nets to begin the month of February. In that time, Barnes is averaging nearly 21 points and six rebounds per game while shooting 62 percent from the floor, 48 percent from three-point range, and 89 percent at the free throw line.

Simply put, after not being shipped away before the NBA Trade deadline arrived, Barnes has been fantastic, and the Kings are reaping the benefit of his terrific individual play combined with that of newly-acquired All-Star power forward Domantas Sabonis.

It may not seem like much, but the Kings are 6-7 (.461) in their last 13 games after beginning the season with a record of 18-34 (.346), and Barnes’ sensational play over the past month accounts for a large portion of their recent success.
