It appears as if there was some confusion regarding a UNC basketball recruiting target’s top six list released earlier this week.

Four-star point guard London Johnson released his top six list to Rivals on Tuesday with North Carolina not included. The recruit was set to focus on USC, Georgia, N.C. State, Virginia, Clemson, and Alabama.

But on Wednesday, Johnson tweeted out his top six and there was one major change. He listed UNC on the list among the teams and took off N.C. State. Either it was miscommunicated to Rivals about the six or Johnson had a change of heart within 24 hours and opted to put the Tar Heels back on the list.

The 6-foot-4, 165-pound point guard out of Norcross, Georgia is ranked No. 25 overall, No. 6 point guard, and the No. 3 player in the state of Georgia per the 247Sports recruiting rankings. He’s a prospect that had a total of 14 offers in his recruitment but is settling on these six.

Johnson caught up with Dushawn London of 247Sports to talk about each team in his top six, including North Carolina. While he didn’t have much to say about the Tar Heels, he did say some things that may play to his strengths:

"UNC: “They play fast paced and use the pick and roll a lot. They also have a two guard offense.”"

The talented point guard has made a big update to his recruitment and it appears as if he’s close to making a decision as well. He told London that he already knows where he’s going and that he will set a day close to New Year’s.

I don’t know if that’s good or bad news for the Tar Heels but either way, his decision is something to keep an eye on.
