UNC Basketball: Grades for Tar Heels’ game against Michigan
Leaky Black
Leaky Black had a solid Leaky Black kind of game. And that’s no slight; he did against the Wolverines exactly what the Tar Heels need him to do. His 33 minutes on Wednesday night are tied for the most he’s played in a game this season, and he didn’t turn the ball over even once. He added five points, five rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal. He hit 2-of-4 shots for the game and connected on his only free throw attempt.
B+
R.J. Davis
It wasn’t R.J. Davis’ best game of the season by any means, but he scored nine points to go along with two rebounds, one assist and one steal. He also took good care of the basketball, committing just one turnover in 28 minutes of play. He and Caleb Love controlled the offense and played well off of each other, so his sub-par scoring output wasn’t really a big deal.
B-
Brady Manek
Manek didn’t set the world on fire in the Tar Heels’ game against Michigan, but he did record nine points on 4-of-9 shooting and pulled down five rebounds in a modest 21 minutes of play.
