The UNC Football program will soon find out their fate for a top recruiting target left on their 2022 board.

After landing a commitment from Zach Rice in October, UNC is hoping to keep the momentum going in November and add four-star wide receiver Andre Greene Jr. to their class. The Richmond, Virginia native announced a big update to his recruitment on Wednesday afternoon, cutting his list down to three finalists and announcing a decision date.

Greene Jr. will make his decision on Wednesday, November 17th and will pick between UNC, Clemson. and Georgia, he announced via Twitter:

The talented wide receiver racked up 58 offers in his recruitment but has narrowed his list down to the three finalists. Prior to this update, Oregon, Penn State and LSU were all also involved for him.

Greene Jr. has taken two official visits so far, visiting Georgia and North Carolina this Summer and is planning on going to Clemson on November 13th. He’s also been on UNC’s campus for their win over Duke this Fall as well as took in the Georgia/Clemson game in Charlotte to begin the season.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Greene Jr. is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 71 overall player, No. 9 wide receiver and No. 3 player in the state of Virginia per the 247Sports composite rankings.

UNC has been able to find success in the state of Virginia, pulling out big recruits like Tony Grimes, Zach Rice, and George Pettaway among others recently. Landing another big recruit in Greene Jr. would just solidify the dominance in that state for this program.

As of now, there is no crystal ball prediction for Greene Jr. and we imagine his last visit to Clemson will tell us a lot.
