D’Marco Dunn has big impact right away

Davis was able to keep UNC’s two-man class for the 2021 cycle, welcoming in D’Marco Dunn and Dontrez Styles to Chapel Hill. With a loaded roster and a lot of depth, it might be hard for some of the players including the incoming freshmen to find a role early on.

But one thing Dunn has that UNC needs on the floor is not only defense but his scoring ability.

The forward plays around the rim but has the ability to knock down some long-range jumpers, something that UNC has struggled with over the past few seasons. Outside of Kerwin Walton and a couple of spurts from Caleb Love, UNC really hasn’t had a legit shooter. That could be where Dunn fits in for his spot and if he’s a knock-down shooter, he will find a lot of playing time early on this season in Davis’ first rotation.

Keep an eye on what Dunn does with his minutes early on and if he impresses or not.
