Mack Brown and the UNC Football program are hoping to close out this season with a bowl appearance, facing a tough task of four ranked opponents left in their last five games.

But while it’s been a disappointing season on the field, the Tar Heels have done a good job building for the future in terms of recruiting. The Tar Heels currently have the No. 13 class in the 2022 cycle as they picked up a few big commitments and may not be done just yet.

Brown and his staff are also looking ahead to future classes as well and that includes 2024 where they have officially entered the race for an elite prospect out of South Carolina.

Class of 2024 quarterback Jadyn Davis announced on Monday that North Carolina was the latest team to get involved and officially extend an offer. Davis now has a total of 11 offers in his recruitment including from some elite programs like Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon and Penn State among others:

The Fort Mill, South Carolina prospect is ranked as a five-star recruit and the top player in the nation per the 247Sports recruiting rankings. He recently took a visit to Tennessee early in his recruitment and more should be on the horizon as his recruitment picks up.

Davis is an elite prospect and for UNC to be involved in this recruitment to the end, they are going to have to take down some tough competition. However, Davis does have an interest in the Tar Heels as he camped there a few years back and could very well keep UNC in his top teams list moving forward.
