J.J. Taylor (2023)

A Chicago product that is drawing interest from the Blue Blood programs is five-star small forward J.J. Taylor. The prospect is among the top players in the country, ranking No. 3 overall by 247Sports, drawing 16 offers in total including from UNC, Duke, Gonzaga, Florida and Illinois among others.

While Taylor has landed a good amount of offers, his recruitment thus far has been a little quiet.

There hasn’t been much in terms of visits from either UNC or Duke and this recruitment has been a tough one to crack since he picked up those offers in the Summer. Duke does have a good track record of landing prospects from the city of Chicago and head coach Jon Scheyer played in Northbrook, a suburb of the Windy City. Taylor will be a prospect to watch this Fall in terms of visits to programs and where his interests are at but at this moment it’s tough to even tell who might be a legit contender in this recruitment.

Lean: Neither for now.
