Mackenzie Mgbako (2023)

New Jersey native Mackenzie Mgbako is a recruit that has seen his stock skyrocket over the Summer and is becoming a priority for a few different programs. Mgbako has a total of 19 offers in his recruitment with three Blue Bloods in UNC, Duke and Kentucky showing serious interest.

But Mgbako maybe tipping his hand early in his recruitment.

The only visit he’s taken so far has been to Duke, visiting Durham on October 3rd. And it reportedly went very well. Mgbako may not be done with visits just yet and UNC could get one moving forward but it does appear as if they have a lot of ground to make up in this one.

As it stands right now here in October, Duke is the favorite according to the 247Sports crystal ball predictor. They own all four predictions with a high confidence of six.

This recruitment isn’t officially over but it does sound like Duke is the heavy favorite to land this recruit and give Scheyer a big commitment in 2023.
