UNC Basketball: Vince Carter documentary coming soon
UNC Basketball fans are in for a true treat, as Tar Heel legend Vince Carter drops a new documentary highlighting his illustrious career next month.
On June 28th, 2020 it was announced that Vince Carter would be trading in his Jordans for flip flops as he retired from the National Basketball Association. Carter’s retirement sealed his name in the history books forever as having the longest-tenured career in NBA history with 22 years.
Now, just a year and a half removed from showing fans he still has it with one-armed dunks, Carter will be telling fans stories of his basketball career with help from a few friends.
Legacy, a documentary surrounding Mr. Half-man, half-amazing himself will give a behind-the- bleachers look of one who many consider the most creative dunker in NBA history. The documentary will feature NBA legends such as Allen Iverson, Dirk Nowitzki, Charles Barkley, Jason Kidd, and many more giving their take on Carter’s memorable career. The film will also display his ups and downs, such as going from Mr. Air Canada to being booed in his return to Scotiabank Arena.
During his NBA tenure, Carter made eight All-star teams and two All-NBA. He currently ranks 19th in NBA history for points scored and 6th for 3 point field goals made. Carter averaged 16.7 points per game, 4.3 rebounds in 1541 games played. Those stats were made on multiple NBA teams, including Utah, Toronto, New Jersey, Orlando, Phoenix, Dallas, Memphis, Sacramento, and Atlanta.
Legacy is set to release October 1st on streaming service, Crackle Plus. Tune in to watch the legendary career of the 360-windmilling Tar Heel legend Vince Carter.
