Another former UNC Basketball player has found a new home overseas to continue his professional career.

Per the Ceiling is the Roof, former point guard Marcus Paige has signed a new deal overseas with Orléans Loiret in France. This ends Paige’s run with KK Partizan in Serbia after just three seasons and a few EuroCup appearances.

For Paige, he now has the opportunity to continue his career in one of the better leagues overseas as Orléans Loiret plays in the French Pro A League, the top league in France. Former UNC standouts Sean May and David Noel also spent time with the club in the past. This will allow Paige to play at another high level overseas.

The 28-year-old Paige was drafted in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft and spent time with the Salt Lake City Stars, Charlotte Hornets and Greensboro storm in his NBA/G-League career before going overseas. He found a home with Partizan Belgrade from 2018-21, averaging over 9 points a game in that three-year span.

Paige commented on his latest move with our friends over at Ceiling is the Roof and how excited he is for this next chapter in his professional career.

"“I loved my time in Belgrade, but I’m really excited to experience living in a new country and playing in a league that should be very strong this year.”"

Paige played four seasons at North Carolina, earning All-ACC honors in his final two years while helping lead the Tar Heels to the national championship game in his senior season.
