Despite having three commitments and the No. 1 ranked class for the 2022 cycle, UNC Basketball head coach Hubert Davis and his staff still have some work to do.

Ideally, UNC would love to pull in at least one more recruit and potentially two for their 2022 class and have their eyes on a few targets. Among them is a four-star power forward Isaac Traudt, a recruit that is a top 60 prospect and is drawing a lot of interest from programs across the country.

Including UNC, 30 teams have offered Traudt so far in his recruitment and he spent June taking visits to four of those programs. Traudt was on UNC’s campus on June 27th and left impressed with Chapel Hill, which is great news for the Tar Heels.

But his recruitment doesn’t appear to be coming to a close anytime soon and a fellow Blue Blood is looking to get more involved.

Rob Cassidy of Rivals caught up with Traudt over the weekend at the Under Armour Association event and the recruit dished on his relationship with Kansas and a likely visit to the program in Augsut:

"“[KU] is going to be losing a lot of forwards and they think that’s a good opportunity for me. They also think me and Gradey Dick  going in together would be a good combo. I think we’re going to set up a visit in August.”"

With another Blue Blood entering the mix, it could have a ripple effect on Traudt’s recruitment and the Jayhawks should be considered a serious threat to land him. Both UNC and Kansas have a need on the wing and now appear to be battling it out, along with programs like Michigan State and Virginia for the talented recruit.

Next. Is UNC all in on this 2022 recruit?. dark
