Jarin Stevenson (2024)

The lone 2024 prospect on this list is an in-state player who has already caught the eyes of the Tar Heels as a freshman. Back in May we wrote on 2024 power forward Jarin Stevenson a recruit that a UNC insider hinted that fans should keep an eye on for the future.

With no evaluation period last year, the Tar Heels weren’t able to get out and see the young prospect that hails from Chapel Hill and plays at Pittsboro High School. That could change as time goes on and UNC could heavily pursue this recruit that is in their own back yard.

Stevenson doesn’t have an official ranking but is considered the No. 1 freshman in the state of North Carolina. And with a basketball bloodline of his father playing at Richmond and his mother playing at UNC, he becomes even more intriguing.

This recruit is still a bit away from making headlines and landing a UNC offer but we’d be shocked if the Tar Heels don’t get involved eventually. Keep Stevenson’s name on your radar as a power forward that can not only score from almost anywhere on the court but is good in the paint defensively and on the boards.
