Former UNC Basketball player Justin Knox has a new home overseas as he continues his professional career.

Per ceilingistheroof.com,  Knox will now be lacing up for the Sanen Neo-Phoenix as part of the Japanese B-league.

Knox has been in the international scene for a while now making stops with the Betaland Capo d’Orlando of the Lega Series A league in 2017 where he averaged 16.4 points on 57% shooting, and 8.3 rebounds. He went on to play in that league for two more seasons, making the playoffs in 2018, where he averaged 10 points on an impressive 60% from the field.

He recently played for the Euro Cup during the 2019-2020 season for the Dolomiti Energia Trentino where he was 3rd in points on the team averaging 11.2 while having the highest percentage from the field with 60%.

After playing the first three of his college career with Alabama, Knox opted to transfer out of the program and join North Carolina.

He was a part of the loaded 2010-2011 UNC Basketball program and averaged 4.6 points per game for 52% from the field. Despite only averaging 14.4 minutes per game, Knox was a spark plug off the bench appearing in all 37 games UNC played that year. Since his Carolina days Knox has stayed on the court making his ways around the international scene and keeping fans on their heels.

Knox will continue to make an impact no matter the jersey he puts on or the court he dribbles on, and UNC Basketball fans will continue to cheer him along the way.
