As Hubert Davis and his staff at the UNC Basketball program prepare for a big month of June with visits, they continue to show interest in several recruits.

By now, the Tar Heels have established their recruiting board by identifying their top targets in the 2022 class but have yet to land a commitment. They hope that with the visits lined up in June, that will change and they can get their class off to a good start in the Summer.

But now another prospect is receiving interest from the Tar Heels and could become a big target for them.

Four-star combo guard Jayden Epps is quickly climbing the recruiting rankings as he is set to enter his final year at King’s Fork High School in Virginia. Epps has a total of 15 offers in his recruitment with programs like Florida, Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, NC State and Texas A&M offering him so far.

While the Tar Heels haven’t extended an official offer to Epps just yet, they reportedly have their eyes on him. Joe Tipton of Tipton Edits tweeted out on Thursday that UNC is one of the teams is recruiting Epps the hardest according to a recent talk with the recruit:

There are other names on that list that haven’t offered along with UNC including UCOnn and Marquette. It appears as if Epps is becoming a popular target for programs with a need at the guard position.

Epps is ranked No. 98 overall, No. 16 combo guard and the No. 6 player in the state of Virginia per the 247Sports composite rankings. Right now, there appears to just be interest from UNC’s side as a visit hasn’t been scheduled yet but this is a recruitment to keep our eyes on as the Summer goes on for the Tar Heels.
