North Carolina will end their struggles against Virginia

Okay, this is a bold one. The Virginia Cavaliers have had North Carolina’s number over the years, winning seven-straight against the Tar Heels. Yikes.

The way Virginia plays completely contradicts North Carolina’s fast-paced style and it’s given the Tar Heels fits over the years under Roy Williams. With North Carolina not switching their style under Hubert Davis, they are going to have to find a way to make it work and beat the Cavaliers.

Tony Bennett’s team does enter this year with some question marks and this might just be the Tar Heels best chance to beat them again. However, Virginia did struggle at times last season and managed to sweep the season series against UNC.

If the Tar Heels want to be contenders in the ACC, they need to take care of business against teams they should beat and at least split with the top four in the conference. But ending their struggles against Virginia will also be big for their chances and potentially give UNC fans some relief that they can end this woes against the Cavaliers.
